Will A.I Replace You?
Future Rise Newsletter #33 | Sep 23rd (2025)
The question I get asked most often is whether A.I will take our
jobs. The truth is every job will be affected, but not in the same way or
at the same speed. Some industries are already in the fire, but others
will shift slowly.
The key is to see the rhythm that technology always follows. Once
digitized, costs collapse. Music, movies, banking, transport; they all
went from scarce to almost free. My simple rule still applies: if it
can be done on a laptop, sooner or later it will be close to zero
cost.
So yes, the digital parts of your role will be automated. But the more
important truth is that what remains becomes more valuable. IRL (In
Real Life) experiences can't be automated and downloaded. Empathy
in a crisis, presence in a classroom, trust across a table; these
moments cannot be replicated by machines. As A.I eats the digital, the
value of human connection rises.
The challenge is identity. Most people defend who they have been,
instead of allowing themselves to evolve. But adaptability is a
muscle. The more you train it, the more clearly you see opportunities
where others only see threats.
The question is not "Will A.I replace my job?" it's "How will I step
into the spaces A.I can never touch?"
Takeaways
• Anything digital trends toward zero cost.
• IRL experiences rise in value as A.I advances.
• Adaptability, not certainty, is your edge in the age of A.I.
Until next time...keep adapting
