What You Face, Frees You
Future Rise Newsletter #30 | Sep 2nd (2025)
This week's newsletter is about some of the key insights I've been
reflecting on recently, especially now that I've turned 50.
The future will not wait for your healing. It will only reflect it.
What you avoid, controls you. Every unspoken truth, every quiet
resentment, every unprocessed fear gathers power in the background,
shaping your decisions without your consent.
What you face, frees you. The act of turning toward discomfort is not
weakness. It's precision. It's the beginning of liberation.
The future belongs to those who meet life without armor. Not because
they are unbreakable, but because they are willing to feel, and in
feeling, they become free.
1) What you resist, persists. Whether it's change, emotion, or
uncertainty, resistance turns it into a pattern that loops on repeat.
Acceptance is not surrender. It's evolution.
2) What you accept, dissolves. The moment you stop fighting the
storm, you realize it was only there to wash something away.
3) What you deny, defines you. The shadows we refuse to name
end up shaping the stories we live. Denial is not protection. It's
camouflage for the truth.
4) What you embrace, transforms you. Ownership is power. When
you meet yourself fully, without edits, something alchemical begins.
5) What you suppress, festers. Silence is not stillness. It's
stagnation.
6) What you express, heals. Expression is movement. It's the signal
to your system that it is safe to be seen.
7) What you resist, builds walls. Habits of avoidance harden into
isolation.
8) What you welcome, opens doors. The world moves toward those
who are open to being moved.
Actionable Insight
Identify and Dissolve Walls of Avoidance
Ask yourself what you've been avoiding. What have you been putting
off that's important?
Take the first step into flowing into the meet up, conversation, task or
experience you keep putting off. Instead of postponing it yet again,
shift into taking action.
Each act of moving through resistance dissolves a wall and opens
pathways to new possibilities.
Until next time...keep transforming
