The 6 Rules of Charisma Unlocking Magnetic Presence
Future Rise Newsletter #7 | March 25 (2025)
As an international keynote speaker, I travel to 40+ cities around the
world every year. After meeting hundreds of people from a wide range
of cultures, and walks of life, I've discovered that charisma isn't only
about a dazzling smile, a firm handshake, or the perfect elevator
pitch. It's an energy, a presence, and a way of being that makes people
stop, listen, and lean in.
And here are two secrets: it's not about impressing others. It's about
embodying who you truly are. It's not only about being
interesting, it's about being genuinely interested in who you're
communicating with.
I've distilled my insights & experiences on how
to be more charismatic into 6 Rules:
01 | Be unshakable
No matter what happens, I'll be okay. That mindset isn't just
confidence; it's a gravitational pull. Charismatic people don't seek
safety, they trust themselves to handle whatever comes.
02 | Character over reputation
What's true matters more than what looks good. People see through
the polished surface; they connect with what's real, and what your
values are.
03 | Integrity is non-negotiable
Say what you mean. Mean what you say. Honesty isn't just a virtue, it's
a superpower.
04 | Drop the need to convince
The moment you stop selling yourself, you become ten times more
compelling. Speak your truth and let it land. Those who resonate will
stay.
05 | Share your purpose
The world doesn't need more curated perfection, it needs people on a
mission. When you know your "why" and own your "why" people feel
it.
06 | Humanize the conversation
Wearing the fashionable outfit, using rehearsed body language, and
trying to be perfect is forgettable. But authenticity is magnetic!
Charisma isn't about being flawless; it's about genuinely connecting
with each person, and making them feel seen, and heard. Ask
interesting questions about what's happening in their lives, listen
actively, and ask deeper questions.
"In a world full of noise, charisma isn't about standing
out. It's about standing in your authenticity: fully,
unapologetically, and with purpose."
John Sanei
Charismatic leaders, and team members have an aura that effortlessly
attracts people to them. People are energized to work and collaborate
with them. Charisma can move mountains!
Until next time...
